Do I need separate email sending infrastructure?

When sending cold emails from your regular email account, you run the risk that you will hurt the reputation of your domain, leading to emails to clients and candidates landing in the spam folder. To guard against this risk, you may purchase additional email sending infrastructure from us that we will set up on your behalf within our email sending platform.

Questions

What counts as a contact?
A person delivered to you with a verified work email address. If we cannot find and verify an address for someone, you are not charged for them — so the number you pay for is the number you can actually email.
Do unused contacts roll over?
No. Each month starts fresh at your plan's allowance.
What is an MPC?
Your Most Placeable Candidate — one person you are marketing, together with the employer audience you want to pitch them to. It holds your notes on the candidate, which is what the email copy is written from, and the filters that define who hears about them. Create as many as you like; you are only charged for the contacts you order and the copy you generate.
What counts as an email generation?
One click of Generate on an MPC. It reads your notes, works out what is genuinely worth selling about that candidate, and writes twenty variations — each an opener and a follow-up with their own subject lines. Regenerating creates a fresh set and leaves your edits on the old one intact, and counts as another generation.
What is in the sending add-on?
The domains and mailboxes you send from, sized to your plan and set up for you — registered, configured with SPF, DKIM and DMARC, and warmed before they carry real volume. Switch it on with your plan and there is nothing else to work out.
Can I switch sending on or off later?
Yes. It is an add-on to your plan, not a separate contract, so you can add it or drop it whenever you like.
Why not send from my own domain?
Cold outreach at volume damages the reputation of the domain it is sent from, and you do not want that to be the one your invoices and client email come from. Separate sending domains keep your primary domain clean.
How was the number of mailboxes decided?
Each mailbox safely sends about 20 emails a day on weekdays once warmed. We size each plan against emailing every contact it includes, with both emails in the sequence. If you work through your list more slowly you will have headroom rather than a shortfall.
Can I change plans later?
Yes, at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at your next billing date.
